This whole prom thing is so ... really confusing.
Two issues over it.
1. The lack of ambience.
2. The money issue.
Its eighty dollars, for Heaven's sake! Plus all the make up & all the gown & all stuffs ... not that I don't like the idea of dolling up ... its just ... the thought of all that cash. Really puts me off. I was so looking forward towards going for a JC prom. But not towards one where most of your friends are not going. Council was supposed to boycott it, as a whole, & head on for Council Week! But apparently, not everyone did. Hmmm. Now I have my whole dear committee going & I am shockingly the one not turning up. Hahs. The whole thing's a dilemma. BOMBfied isn't going, so is the whole of Dragon Boat. Coral isn't. Caiwen isn't. Jiam & her freeLANcer's aint. But guess what?! After the meeting, I found out Seow's going! Jas's going! My whole CCAco's going, Serene's going ... & of course my Angels' ... are still going! Oh wells, & I just backed out from the table cause of $ issue ... & didn't really dare to ask for like eighty dollars ... Blimey. Now I really don't know what to do? Just feel that the $ isn't really worth it. From where I come, that $80.00+++ isn't really any laughing matter. But then again ... the very basis of why I actually didn't mind going for the prom was that ... its a JC prom! & its the most glamourous of the glam, the last of the bits, lest you have it in a horribly funky Uni where the graduates ain't too nerdy for their own good yet.
Uh wells, I do have alternatives now though.
1. From the table where I backed out, I have an invitational seat, to join in & be the very special table of eleven. (:
2. Or I could simply replace my dear Lin who wants to back out & accompany Seow.
3.Or .... I could just wait till August & since how the remaining souls want to deal with this ...
4. Or ... just end up crashing at Grand Hyatt on the 3rd.
Oh wells. I certainly do miss the girliness of Prom Night though, even though I doubt there would be a appriopiate date. Hmm. Okay great ... getting out of point. Still waiting for Lin to call back. Now what? Should I even consider going.
